I used this slide and video for research into the multiple horror sub genres - they were both highly informative about what each sub genre entails including examples for me to watch and analyse. The demand for a particular sub genre changes over time with popularity trends. For example some of the very first horror films were Gothic Horror whereas now the most favoured sub genre seems to be Paranormal Horror which is the fear of the unknown. This research can therefore be applied to my groups planning as we would look to place our main brief under the sub genre of Paranormal Horror as it attracts the widest horror audiences in todays market.
